French Vocab Around The Home

If you plan on visiting a French speaking country it will come in handy to be able to communicate the different rooms and parts of a house or apartment.

To refer to various rooms around a house, you’ll need to be familiar with the French names for different rooms.

Here they are:

apartment = l’appartement (m.)
garden = le jardin
apartment building = l’immeuble (m.)
ground floor = le rez-de-chauss
attic = le grenier
hallway = le couloir
balcony = le balcon
house = la maison
