First, let’s give you the phrases, and then we will give you some examples. To say that you like something, you will use “j’aime bien”. This means “I like”. Another word that the French like to use is “j’aime”. This means “I love”, which is a stronger way of saying that you like something. To say “I don’t like” in French, you will use “je n’aime pas”. “J’aime bien voyager en train”. This means I like travelling by train. You could also say “J’aime voyager en train. This means I love travelling by train. Simple so far, right? Next we have dislike. You could say “Je n’aime pas voyager en train”. This means I don’t like travelling by train.
